Welcome to Email Your M.D.!

In a recent survey, 80% of patients say they would pay to communicate with their doctors via email. The survey also indicated that coming in to a doctor's office is not always stress free and can be costly and time consuming. They further noted additional headache such as the high price of gas, parking, lost wages by leaving work, child-care arrangement, and especially the increase in co-payment.

In this age of technology, the goal of Email Your M.D. is help in reducing the unnecessary headache of playing phone tag with your doctor. For a minimum fee, we are making it conveniently possible for you to contact your doctor without being put on hold for several minutes.

We highly recommend that in case of emergency to call 911 or your medical group or primary care physician. We also strongly recommend that you DON'T discuss a patient's HIV status or mental illness.

By law, any email you send your doctor must be filed in your medical record. Most doctors are extremely busy therefore please get to the point and don't expect an instant reply. Please allow at least 48 hours when contacting a doctor. Please include your Last, First, Middle names, your patient number (if known), your date of birth (mm/dd/yyyy), day time telephone number in all email/message. If requesting a refill, please please include the Rx#, the pharmacy's name, pharmacy's address and the pharmacy's telephone number. In some cases such as prescription refill, the physician will have the nurse call you to inform you that the prescription was faxed to the clinic.

If your doctor is not registered with this site, please give him/her the site's address: www.EmailYourMD.com and ask them to register and provide you with their screen name. There is absolutely no way you can contact your doctor without knowing their screen name.

Your email message to your doctor is secure, safe and confidential when using any computer. You will have to login to www.EmailYourMD.com to submit your message and your doctor will also have to login to www.EmailYourMD.com to retrieve your message. Please see FAQ for more information.
